Collaboration & Advisory

Guidelines for external technical collaboration, consulting, and advisory support.

Due to increasing interest from industry, startups, investment organizations, and research institutions, external collaborations are managed through a structured engagement process.

Depending on the scope and objectives, collaborations may take the form of academic exchanges, technical consultations, project support, or long-term advisory engagements.

This helps ensure that sufficient time and attention can be dedicated to each collaboration.

Areas of Expertise

We welcome collaboration and advisory inquiries in the following areas:

  • Quantum Computing: Quantum algorithms, quantum AI, NISQ devices, quantum noise, quantum simulation, quantum error mitigation and quantum information.
  • Quantum Software: Core infrastructure, design of quantum software, integration with ML frameworks. Optimization, feature request and deployment of TensorCircuit-NG.
  • Tensor Networks: Quantum state representation, tensor network contraction, MPS/PEPS algorithms, quantum inspired applications.
  • HPC & GPU: Vectorized parallel computing, GPU optimization, distributed training.
  • Scientific Computing Systems: Large-scale simulation, automatic differentiation, JIT compiler integration, python and open source.
  • AI for Science: Interplay between machine learning and quantum physics/engineering.

Engagement Options

To establish clear expectations and ensure high-quality interactions, we structure external engagements into the following options:

Introductory Discussion

30 min | Limited Availability

Best for: Initial exchange, exploration of potential synergies. Project-specific technical reviews and implementation guidance are outside the scope of introductory meetings.

Technical Consultation

Scheduled Session

Best for: Detailed technical roadmap assessment, system architecture review, algorithm design, and performance analysis.

Project Support

Milestone-based

Best for: Software development advice, benchmark design, HPC optimization, and engineering implementation.

Long-term Advisory

Retained Engagement

Best for: Startups and enterprise R&D teams seeking ongoing technical guidance, independent expert perspectives, technology assessment, and roadmap evaluation.

Academic & Community Support (Free Channels)

To maintain active engagement with students, researchers, and the open-source community, the following options are available:

  • Community Support: General questions or bug reports related to TensorCircuit-NG should be raised through GitHub Issues and GitHub Discussions to benefit the whole community.
  • Office Hours: Monthly open office hours are reserved for students and academic researchers for non-profit projects. Please email to request a booking slot.

Recognition & Attribution

For collaborations that substantially benefit from technical guidance, software contributions, or intellectual input, appropriate acknowledgement, attribution, or advisory recognition may be requested where applicable.
